Pax Christi Australia is a Christian peace movement with branches in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland and individual members throughout Australia.

Members are involved in peace efforts in the fields of demilitarisation and security, human rights, ecology, development, economic justice and reconciliation.

• Pax Christi Australia values:

  • communicating and collaborating with Pax Christi International, National sections and State Branches
  • being a voice within Pax Christi International for the Asia-Pacific region
  • being a supportive community for members - especially through its monthly gatherings and agapes
  • publishing the quarterly peace journal Disarming Times
  • advocacy work and support of related campaigns, including media statements and joint statements with other groups
  • peace research and watching briefs
  • bringing international speakers to Australia
  • organising peace forums, conferences, and public services
  • disseminating information on peace and justice issues
  • networking locally nationally, internationally, with like-minded religious traditions and organizations.
