Journal: Global Change, Peace and Security
The journal, now in its fifteenth year, was first established by La Trobe University
under the name Interdisicplinary Peace Research. Several
years later it was renamed Pacifica Review: Peace, Security and Global Change.
In 2003 a decision was made to simplify the name to Global Change, Peace and Security.
These changes - part symbolic, part substantive - reflect the concern of the
editorial committee to respond to the profound changes in human affairs since
the late 1980s, while remaining faithful to the journal's normative ethos, best
captured by the four key words of its present name: global change, peace, security.
Throughout this period the journal has provided a forum
for lively scholarly dialogue across the intellectual, civilisational and disciplinary divides.
