Carnegie Moscow Center

http://www.carnegie.ru/en/

Aims

The Center accommodates foreign and Russian researchers collaborating with Washington staff on a variety of topical areas and policy-relevant projects. Carnegie Associates work independently on their own research in areas covering a broad range of contemporary policy issues - military, political, and economic.

Activities

The Center has developed and continues to expand working relationships with Russian specialists and scholars, educational and research organizations, as well as governmental and non-governmental institutions in order to consider critical domestic and international problems. These relationships take a variety of forms, including workshops, study groups, conferences, visiting lecturers, mailing and publication projects. In 1993 the Center established a public policy research centre in Moscow. The Center is currently running programs in the following areas: Asian Security, Civil Society, Ethnic and Nation-Building, Foreign and Security Policy, Nuclear Non-Proliferation, Political Economy of Russian Reforms, Post Soviet Economies in Transition and Russian Domestic Politics and Political Institutions.

Publications and other Resources

The website features working papers and briefing papers (in both English and Russian) in PDF format as well as articles and interviews in HTML format and a regular e-newsletter all at no cost. Articles from the Center's Pro et Contra journal are also available in PDF format at no cost.
