Aims
The CISS is a member-based, independent,
non-partisan, non-profit organization, attracting concerned citizens from a wide
range of backgrounds. It is primarily concerned with the analysis and
interpretation of contemporary strategic issues.
Activities
The CISS provides the forum for, and is the
vehicle to stimulate the research, study, analysis and discussion of the
strategic implications of major national and international security, issues,
events and trends as they affect Canada. The CISS provides insightful commentary
on contemporary national and international military and strategic issues,
organises seminars and study trips and provide commentary and analysis on a
range of issues to the print and electronic media.
Publications and other Resources
The Institute's three publications, McNaughton
Papers, Strategic Datalinks and seminar proceedings, can be ordered from the
website at a cost. A large range of articles written by CISS staff are available
to download in both PDF and HTML formats at no cost.
