Caucasian Institute for Peace, Democracy and Development (CIPDD)
http://www.cipdd.org
Aims
The CIPDD is a non-governmental and
not-for-profit public policy think-tank promoting sustainable peace, prosperity,
and freedom. There are two large areas in which it is active: democratic
transformation and institution building, and creating foundations for
sustainable peace and security. CIPDD has several focal areas in which its
expertise is stronger: these are issues of ethnic and religious minorities,
local governance, civil society development, civil diplomacy and confidence
building, civil-military relations and security sector reforms.
Activities
CIPDD conducts policy research, issues
publications, and organizes conferences, workshops and roundtable discussions.
The CIPDD also caries out training exercises in areas of its expertise. The
CIPDD is mainly active in Georgia. However, it is also involved in cooperative
projects in the South Caucasus and Black Sea-Balkans area. CIPDD often works in
partnerships and coalitions with other civil society organisations, Georgian or
foreign. The CIPDD often cooperates with Georgian government and international
organisations.
Publications and other Resources
The website features articles available at no
cost in PDF format in English or Georgian (depending on the article). A small
number of research reports and conference proceedings are also available to
download in PDF format at no cost.
