Cambodian Institute for Cooperation and Peace (CICP)

Aims
The CICP is an independent, neutral, and
non-partisan research institute based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. CICP promotes
both domestic and regional dialogue between government officials, national and
international organizations, scholars, and the private sector on issues of
peace, democracy, civil society, security, foreign policy, conflict resolution,
economics and national development.
Activities
Since its inception, CICP has organized more than
70 meetings at the national, regional, and international levels. Furthermore,
the institute has published more than 50 lectures, studies, and commentaries,
and hosted a number of training programs. In the five years that CICP has been
in existence, the institute has undertaken a broad range of programs in order to
fulfil its mandate. In this regard, CICP has concentrated on six main program
areas with the intention of achieving specific objectives. The programs are:
Civil Society, Civil-Military Relations, Economic Development, Foreign Policy
and International Relations and Greater Mekong Subregion.
Publications and other Resources
The CICP publishes works on an ongoing basis
under five categories: General Publications, Policy Paper Series, Conference
Publications, Distinguished Lecture Series, and Conference Working Paper Series.
The website offers no downloadable versions of the Institute's publications.
