Aims
The Center for Global Peace and Conflict Studies
is a multi-disciplinary program, at the University of California in the United
States, dedicated to promoting scholarly, student, and public understanding of
international peace and conflict. The Center works on the military/ strategic,
economic/ environmental, and cultural/ normative motives, processes, and
consequences of both peace and conflict.
Activities
The Center organises and sponsors one off
conferences, forums and seminars as well as running year-long lecture series. It
also maintains an "Ask the Experts" list of faculty who can be scheduled for
community engagements and press interviews on a variety of topical issues and
problems concerning global peace and conflict. The Center also produces working
papers and other publications.
