Aims
The Asia Research Centre based at Murdoch
University, Australia aims to produce high quality academic research
publications for international and domestic audiences; foster the development of
high quality research graduates; and to constructively contribute to public
policy debate and public understanding on issues concerning contemporary Asia.
It undertakes interdisciplinary and disciplinary research into a wide range of
social, political and economic dynamics within the East and Southeast Asian
region. The thematic focus, however, is on the analysis of forces within the
region that mediate the form and impact of globalisation.
Activities
The Centre produces reports, working papers and
policy papers as well as hosting seminars and providing high quality training to
postgraduate students.
Publications and other Resources
The majority of Working Papers can be downloaded
as RTF or PDF documents without charge and a small number of reports and Asia
View, the centre's newsletter are available as PDF documents at no charge.
