Aims
The AFPC is a non-profit organization dedicated
to bringing information to those who make or influence the foreign policy of the
United States and to assisting world leaders, particularly in the former USSR,
with building democracies and market economies. The AFPC is widely recognized as
a source of timely, insightful analysis on issues of foreign policy, and works
closely with members of Congress, the Executive Branch and the policymaking
community. It is staffed by noted specialists in foreign and defense policy, and
serves as a valuable resource to officials in the highest levels of government.
Activities
The AFPC's Russia Program is dedicated to
strengthening democracy in Russia and promoting ties between Russia and the
United States. The Program also tracks reform in Russia and the direction of
Russian foreign policy through its critically-acclaimed Russia Reform Monitor
and other publications. The AFPC's China Program tracks the course of reforms
and government policy in the PRC, and its impact on the U.S. In addition to
investigative initiatives and fact-finding missions, the Program publishes the
China Reform Monitor. The AFPC's Eurasia Program is designed to provide timely
analysis of emerging foreign policy trends in the Middle East and Central Asia,
and their implications for American national security.

The website has a comprehensive list of recent
articles and editorials written by AFPC staff which are available as free PDF
files or else will direct the reader to the website of the original place of
publication. The website also contains current and archived Bulletins available
in free HTML format on the topics of Russian Reform Monitor, China Reform
Monitor, Missile Defense Briefing Report, Asia Security Monitor, Eurasia
Security Watch, Foreign Aid Advisory and Foreign Policy Alert.
