http://www.afpc.org

Aims

The AFPC is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing information to those who make or influence the foreign policy of the United States and to assisting world leaders, particularly in the former USSR, with building democracies and market economies. The AFPC is widely recognized as a source of timely, insightful analysis on issues of foreign policy, and works closely with members of Congress, the Executive Branch and the policymaking community. It is staffed by noted specialists in foreign and defense policy, and serves as a valuable resource to officials in the highest levels of government.

Activities

The AFPC's Russia Program is dedicated to strengthening democracy in Russia and promoting ties between Russia and the United States. The Program also tracks reform in Russia and the direction of Russian foreign policy through its critically-acclaimed Russia Reform Monitor and other publications. The AFPC's China Program tracks the course of reforms and government policy in the PRC, and its impact on the U.S. In addition to investigative initiatives and fact-finding missions, the Program publishes the China Reform Monitor. The AFPC's Eurasia Program is designed to provide timely analysis of emerging foreign policy trends in the Middle East and Central Asia, and their implications for American national security.
